Econo Lodge Newport

The only thing I disliked was the smell of the room. Reminds me of cigarette smell permeating through the heating vents. Other than that, the beds and pillows were quite comfy. Stay was fine.

location was easy to find

our room was on the back side of the hotel next to an alleyway down a sketchy flight of stairs, that looked like the local homeless have been sleeping in. check in was very odd. even though it says free parking & you dont need a reservation to park there front desk dude needed all our car info. wanted to know what time i was leaving but he asked like 7x not even joking, made sure to telk me no smoking & no pets about another 8x. when we asked where to leave keys he said hes always there & will take them & we have to wait for him to do a room check to see if we get our deposit. very very odd check in experience. 2/10 probably wont stay here again.

The parking was easy, it was clean, and the room was a decent size.

I liked everything, no bad things

Everything worked as it should. Location being on hiway 101 was good. It was not far from yaquina bay park. Coffee shop with in walking distance. GO DUTCH BRO'S. restaurants close by.

It's parking lot is shaped funny. It looks like only one way in and out, but it has a second exit/entrance. If you're a late check in make sure it's summer time or you're dressed appropriately as he doesn't let anyone in the office. Be prepared to be charged a 100 dollar deposit. It is refundable but still. Not a word mentioned about it on booking.

Price was good for last minute reservation.

Bathroom could use more cleaning, especially floor. Only two towels; we needed at least three. TV remote didn't work very well; unresponsive and had to push button multiple times. Deposit takes a week to refund, but seconds to take from account.

Dingy, the shampoo and conditioner provided were not even enough for one use. The soap made my skin cringe with dryness. Coffee was terrible. I know its econo but good lord.
