Red Roof Inn Lafayette, LA

Traveling back home some friends and I decided to stay here. For the night. Front desk person I believe his name was Mike, very friendly extremely helpful. It all seems nice and quiet. Place is pretty full. Now here comes the reason why only 3 stars. Some guy starts banging and cussing hollering. Bangs on the windows to this one room The staff was great when they was alerted to the problem. I'm not sure how long this gentleman was banging on the door but he was banging on other people's doors as well. He kept saying he was Jesus Christ. Police came. They tried knocking at least once but no answer. I can't say I blame the lady because I wouldn't have either especially when they knocked and did not announce their selves. The lady in the room goes down to talk to the police went back up with 2 officers then they came back downstairs. The person was removed and everyone starts leaving so I go back inside. After a few minutes I was talking to my friends and we agree one of us should go check and make sure she was ok. I've never seen anyone so broken in my life. I seen her apologizing to people and overheard her explain what happened. So I go up to her and she started breaking down even more. She gave me the short version of what happened. Told me he was a friend of her friend that's staying in same room. He started to get a little loud so they told him to leave. She said idk what I'm going to do, I've got to start packing because I know I'm gonna be thrown out on the streets. This is what I get for being too nice. I deserve this. I talked to her a few more minutes to make sure she was ok then went back to my room. Friend came back in a few minutes ago saying he went to peek to make sure the guy didn't come back and seen her standing outside smoking crying some more. Y'all this lady was scared to death over this ordeal. Now earlier in the day I heard the workers talking in their language. And yes I can understand every word and speak it pretty decntly. And WOW the older gentleman white hair was just nasty. He was making comments about her and some of the other females that was downright derogatory. I'm planning on contacting corporate as well. I didn't want to contact until closer to check out time because I didn't want retribution against me my friends or others. And yes this is an account I use that for when I need to stay somewhat anonymous. I've also seen alot of other reviews some good some I was shocked. But here's this I'm asking everyone to get ahold of corporate here or even Google leave reviews etc etc. Corporate needs to help this lady out and either out her up in the room for awhile or cover her stay at a different hotel if need be. I'm asking y'all as well to I'm going to try and see about raising money up to help her out and put her in another hotel because I can see her on the streets when check out time hits. I enjoyed my stay but they need to fix they hot water heater no one wants to take a cold shower

The staff corrected our complaints right away.

That our room didn’t smell clean although it looked. And that the top cover and sheet reeked of a very funky musty person. They immediately came, cleaned the room and changed the linen. We only slept on top.

The room was bright , led light needs a dimmer, paint scratches from a chair that rubbed against the wall. The looked like it was just painted silk had tape on the lights. The door lash was broken, door closed but not properly. The outside of thr motels need some maintenance
