Sleep Inn & Suites Chesapeake - Portsmouth

It was in a convenient location to where I was traveling. Beds weren't bad.

Housekeeping came in my room while I was gone and threw away trash which is fine but they also took a bag that was on my bed (on the bed furthest from the door, a bag that had items I literally had just bought from the store) and threw it away then when I called downstairs their only answer was "well next time make sure you put your do not disturb sign up" How about next time, take trash and not something that was clearly on my bed in a store bag. They offered me $20 off my next stay, I won't be coming back to this place. They also leave the back door open which is completely unsafe being that anybody can walk in.

Very clean and nice room. Fair rate as well. Front desk staff were attentive and quick with service as well. Will definitely stay again.

The sheets had holes in them , there was a dead slug on my pillow that I had been sleeping on and didn’t know about it and the bed was so small it was uncomfortable to sleep

It was ok

The person checking on breakfast 🥞 was very unfriendly! No greeting or smile, but the manager was friendly and asked us if everything was ok.
