Hilton Garden Inn Abingdon Oxford

I booked the Hilton garden Inn at Abingdon, Oxford through my Hilton Honers App. For a family break to celebrate my birthday. We checked in around 5pm and were told we would receive complimentary car parking for being a hilton honors diamond member by entering our car at reception. We then left the Hotel at 7pm to go out for a meal and returned at 9.30pm. Our stay at the hotel was good, a nice clean room and a great breakfast the following morning. We checked out at 11am pleased with our experience at Abingdon garden Inn A few days after our stay I received a parking fine for £100 (£60 if paid quickly) for the 2 hr period between 5pm and 7pm the rest of the stay 9.30pm to 11am was registered and was free. I called the hotel but told to appeal myself which i did twice! I Call and email the hotel several times, but was ignored. I ended up paying a £20 fine before it reverted back to full price. I made a complaint and got a call back and told because i pay the fine, no further action could be taken.

I had dinner in the hotel restaurant where Tshering served me. The overall customer service was fantastic, with quick quality food service. Tahering always had a smile and friendly nature which made it a very good experience for me.

Efficient and friendly staff, rooms were a good size and very well presented.

Not sure car park charge was warranted.

Broken light bulbs, broken light switches, broken bath tup plug, someone else's dirty socks under the bed

Good location, quiet even though by a main road , large room, comfy beds, good bathroom, nice breakfast, nice chairs in room

A £12 charge to park my car irked , it's £7 at premier inn next door but why do I have to pay at all in a hotel? Tasteless coffee in the breakfast room

Dropping off registration there should be a 20 minute without registration as waiting time
