Children of resident guests between the ages of 8 and 16 years may use the spa from 09:00 – 10:00 and from 16:00 – 17:00 when accompanied by an adult (Monday to Saturday). On Sunday, children aged 8-16 years may use the spa from 09:00 – 12:00 when accompanied by an adult. Dogs are welcome in some cottage suites (please contact the hotel for further information). Please note, children under 6 years cannot be accommodated at the hotel. Please note, the restaurant dress code is smart attire. A jacket and tie for gentlemen are not obligatory, but trainers, tracksuits and shorts are not acceptable.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. Beautiful grounds and location with excellent amenities. The restaurant was excellent with a great wine list and very friendly service. Would highly recommend for a getaway with that special person!

Beautiful hotel, in a lovely setting. We had a warm welcome at reception and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The hotel also had beautiful gardens.

The evening dinner could have been better. Having stayed and eaten at both of the other National Trust Hotels, we felt that the evening dinner at £75 per head did not match the evening meals we experienced at the other hotels.

Peaceful, remote, excellent quality with every need catered for, including my coeliac requirements .

No anti slip mat in the bath, but I loved everything about this property

"Laid back luxury and comfort in stunning surroundings"

Beautiful old building that’s been preserved and still has its original features. Felt like a country house stay in days gone by. The staff were exceptional. We loved our cottage in the grounds and that our dog was welcome

The spa felt a little tired and the refreshments were very expensive and not very imaginative / healthy for a spa
