Cotswold House Hotel and Spa - "A Bespoke Hotel"

We stayed in one of the garden rooms it was very spacious and a lovely large bathroom with a bath and a shower and all was beautifully clean. Plenty of choice at Breakfast and superbly cooked and served. The staff were very friendly and efficient, used the Spa most days, our only gripe would be that the pool was very cold. Location is perfect, was good to have a car park, we parked up for the whole of our stay and did some lovely walks. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel and we went to Broadway for the day, bus fare was £4.50 each return which I thought was very reasonable, well worth a visit. Also very close to other small towns. We will definitely be back

It's a cute village and well placed hotel. I didn't know that we had a cottage over 2 levels with very treacherous stairs. We had to carry our own cases up. And it's filthy.

The cottage stinks of wood smoke, the lounge doors don't stay open so are always banging into you, the stairs are treacherous and the carpets are filthy.

Beautiful property with period style right in the centre of the village. Small but very nice spa and excellent breakfast. Junior suite was spacious and very comfortable, with excellent bed and fantastic bathroom.

Restaurant closed on Monday night. Reception staff could be friendlier. No safe deposit box in the room.

It was convenient for eating out in Chipping Campden. Lots of good restaurants and cafes nearby. Breakfast was very good. Cleanliness high and comfortable beds.Staff helpful and friendly. Spa was a bonus and massage was good. Spa is a bit small and distant from the main hotel. Fortunately we had good weather, but wouldn’t have been nice if we had to walk through rain.

Our room was directly above the bar area and we were not informed about the planned wedding party happening! The noise from loud music and people disturbed our enjoyment of a quiet weekend. The management did respond to our complaints/disappointment and thankfully resolved the issue with compensation. But I think we should not have been given the room in the first place. We would prefer a spa inside a hotel and were unaware of the outside walk to get to it.

A beautiful preserved hotel which is not formulaic but authentic and charming. Lovely staff and a super location
