The lobby was attractive. Easy driving access to downtown New Bern

Compared to the other 6 hotels we stayed at on our road trip, it was just okay. Nothing exceptional. Old furnishings and carpets gave a musty smell to the whole place. Don lighting. Breakfast consisted of a meager spread, nothing special. What I noticed the most was that virtually none of the staff even smiled at us. It seemed that none of them were very happy working there. That gave the whole place a depressed feeling. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Beautiful location. An older property that has a good bit of charm. Breakfast was not what was expected, that was the only low point to the entire experience. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
