Best Western Plus Keene Hotel

Very mediocre

Very nice, super quiet! Very nice restaurant attached.

It was very clean. Everybody was very polite, and the lady that worked in the breakfast area every morning with the nicest lady she had everything so clean. Very happy with everything.

Bed was comfortable, pet friendly room was very convenient to outside.. carpeting should have been cleaned

Very easy to get to

Spending over $1200 for 7 nights I expected daily housekeeping! I asked for it. We were lucky to get every other day despite putting the "Make Up Room" sign on the door!! I'm sorry but this "new hotel standard" is crap and just a way to cut costs. The room was quite tired. The fridge froze everything put in it despite turning the guage down to it's lowest setting - I mentioned this at the front desk and was told that they knew there were issues with some fridges. The air conditioning was loud and the mattress really needed to be changed. I wanted to do some work in their business center but ALL 3 pc's did not work, which was confirmed by the front desk. The ice machine at the end of our hallway did not work. One of two dryers in the laundry room did not work. They couldn't even give me a statement at check-out which showed a total for our stay- still need to double check this. Although no fault of the hotel, it's near impossible to turn left off the main road it is on (which is where the city center, shops and restaurants are located) due to extreme traffic coming from both directions. Sorry, but this hotel simply did not work for us! ...the lady responsible for breakfast was super!

Clean rooms, no stale smell

On our first of two nights, a hotel worker pounded on our door at 2am to tell us our bathroom was flooding. Turned out there was a leak under our toilet, which left putrid water all over the bathroom floor and the entrance to our room. The worker told us we needed to pack everything up and move to another room, but we had to walk through the putrid water, which also reached a piece of luggage. Two hours later we had settled in our new room and washed everything that got wet, including our feet. When I complained the next morning about what happened, I was told we already paid for that night and it couldn't be refunded. I said that wasn't acceptable and was told the manager would call me that day. He didn't. The next morning when we checked out, the bill didn't show any refund or discount. I complained again and was told the manager would call me. He didn't. I called again the next day and the day after. Finally I was told that we'd get a $100 refund - not a free night - and that here's nothing they can do about the cost of the ruined luggage. I'd suggest you stay somewhere else.

We were completely stunned with how wonderful this hotel was from top to bottom. The staff was very friendly and accommodating (they let us have a 1 hour late check out with no charge), the breakfast was fantastic (best I’d ever had in a hotel that offers it free), it was extremely clean, and the attention to detail was amazing. This hotel should have reviews over 9.0!
