Radisson Hotel Haugesund

Spending a week at this hotel. In the beginning when we came for breakfast it looked like there had been a pig war in the restaurant! There was food everywhere, no clean tables, and there was alot of types of food that was empty. No bread, no eggs, no milk etc.... Half of the staff is nice and welcoming, other half is grumpy and not polite. The rooms are as they were in the 1990’s. And you can tell from everywhere in the room! Here its necessary to keep the window open, if not its not pleasant to spend a night there. Cleanliness is overall good. I rated this as bad, this was my worst experience on a Norwegian hotel. This hotel needs a upgrade and a change of staff!

Veldig slitt Buffeten til middag var kald begge dagene. Kaffien var kald til frokost.

This hotel takes you back to the 1980s with its decor but its still a nice place to stay and the staff are amazing as you find in most places in Norway the views are also amazing, Apparently the place is getting demolished and a new one built

Good location and parking facilities. Hotel is older and very basic but clean.

Hotellet ligger greit til og hyggelig betjening. Rommet så ut som det sist var pusset opp i 1970, dusjen var ikke spesielt komfortabel når man er over 180 cm

Helt grei overnatting. Fikk først rom mot trafikkert vei, og da jeg spurte om det var mulig å bytte til et stillere, fikk jeg et mot baksiden, men det var også det eneste rommet som hadde inngang direkte fra konferanseområdet rett ved heisen. Ikke akkurat stille. Hyggelig personale likevel, og grei mat. Godt utvalg ved frokosten.

A nice enough hotel the beds were good the rooms were average an the staff were all great an helpful I stayed here for a week for work I am from Australia so a little language barrier but all in all a nice hotel I would stay again

Dear All, Stayed for Business purpose in mid-September 2018 and was lodged on the 2nd floor away of the elevator area, with view on the Fjord. Plus: - Good room size, high standards and top quality, fitted with private heating facility. - Clean & tidy room, double room with acceptable single size beds, very convenient and well equipped bathroom !!!, shower cabin, wash basin, and toilet. - Clean, comfortable bed ensuring great night’s sleep. - Internet access (Wi-Fi) is free of charge, but slow. - Price, Quality and Services ratio being very good for what you get (and also when comparing against other hotels in neighborhood too). - Convenient for business purposes when supposed to take an early plane at Haugesund Airport. Hotel being at 10 min drive from Airport only. Far better service and catering than at the Park Inn Radisson Haugesund Hotel and cheaper. - For the meals, enjoyed the evening buffet, which was really good and good money for value, and "à volonté". - Breakfast: due to check out (04:30 LT) did not enjoy it to to early hours. But was offered by the attending staff a fresh fruit juice, a nice cup of coffee, some French Croissants, and fruits. This was really a very nice attention for early birds. Full breakfast offers continental or fully cooked breakfast, including a wide range of various juices, tea/coffee/milk, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals and bakery items at the buffet. Maybe next time for me… - Very sympathetic, smiling, attending and servicing Crew & Officers... Minus: - Booked through Radisson Blu website for a superior room, but was given a double standard... Maybe a check-in error at the entrance counter or website error... - Elevator accessibility not very convenient for less mobile or disabled persons. Had to climb several steps to reach the elevator doors. Not good for persons needing assistance, less mobile or disabled. - Public area’s being in pure, typical, and standardized Radisson Blu chain hotels - Located on the out-skirts of Haugesund down-town area. Personal transport being a must. Neutral: - Less mobile or disabled room facilities available. Several parking slots available close to entrance. - No A/C, and room temperature in the summer can be on the high side if outdoor temperature being too hot. - Non-Smoking policy is strictly applied as all around - Smokers are invited to enjoy their needs outside of the premises... - All is to be paid immediately with valid Plastic Money (BankCard, Visa, Matser, etc…) and immediately. During your stay you can charge your consumption & food on the room, and pay the bill at checking out. Stayed here this time in Mid-September 2018, due to a very poor experience at the Park Inn Radisson Haugesund Hotel, and travelled on business purposes. Really a world of difference. Shall always come back here with pleasure... and envy to come back for the nice service, quick breakfast and attentions received at my early check-out... Room Tip: Prefer a room with a view on the Fjord and away from the elevator or stairways, if you want to sleep well... Thanks again for the nice, restful, pleasant and very convenient stay. Litt travelt og lang ventetid i resepsjonen, litt lite info om pris og drikkebestilling under middagen, totalt manglende skilt på matvarene til buffet både for frokost og middag, ganske lytt i gangene. Godt fungerende varme i baderomsgulvet var et stort pluss.

This hotel has seen better days, still it is a nice place to stay. The reason for this is the very helpful staff, clean rooms and nice atmosphere. I enjoyed the breakfast area, especially that it is used to store a couple of veteran cars.
