Zanzibar Serena Hotel

It is our second time to stay after Nov2024. The historical atmosphere and warm hospitality of the friendly staff makes the hotel extremely unique. It was amazing to see dolphins swimming in front of the hotel when taking breakfast.

Petite chambre mais confortable

das Hotel besticht durch Lage direkt am Meer, und gleichzeitig direkt im Stadtzentrum von Stonetown. Das Personal ist super freundlich, die beiden Restaurants sind sehr gut. Es war uns eine Freude dort für drei Nächte Gast zu sein.

Eigendlich hatten wir ein Zimmer mit Meerblick angefragt und auch gebucht, aber bekommen haben wir ein Seitenzimmer mit seitlichem und nur teilweisen Meerblick, schade, so haben wir den Balkon gar nicht genutzt, weil wir in den Garten geschaut haben.

The hotel itself is in a wonderful location right by the sea and perfect for us to walk few minutes into Stonetown to explore and also go out to dinner in the evening. We had a nice view over looking the pool and the sea too. It was a lovely gesture for them to give us a good bottle of SA wine and a wonderful fruit plate in our room upon arrival. The beds were good for us-ultra firm/hard mattress and the pillows were amazing! The staff were all helpful although a bit too relaxed sometimes :) We enjoyed dinner on the roof top 1 night - had a great fish meal, better than what we thought it would be.

There seemed to be a few locals from the street coming/going in/out of the hotel. They were maybe escorting some guests / trying to encourage them to do excursions/buy something from them - although they were giving information about the island. I don't think this should be encouraged inside the hotel grounds (as this is what we seen outside all the time) The hotel stay (BB)was quite expensive - for a Stonetown city hotel but we thought it would be better to stay close to the town for the last 2 days of our 20 day vacation therefore this hotel was not value for money, it was expensive for what it was.

The breakfast was exceptional! The staff were even more exceptional !! A most wonderful hotel ! Will definitely be back !!

Nothing to complain about..maybe fans in the rooms would be nice but there is air conditioning so thats good

Avevo prenotato una camera matrimoniale superior vista mare. La foto sulla prenotazione mostrava una grande terrazza con un'amaca. La camera che mi hanno dato era piccola con un balconcino. Pagati 380 euro. Non so se si sono sbagliati o se è pubblicità ingannevole.
