For Indian guests, cash settlements of INR 50000 and above will require a pan card copy during check out. "Wonderful Hunting Lodge"

This is a wonderful hunting lodge with magnificent hunting trophies that have been preserved using taxidermy. The rooms are large and spacious with great views. The lodge is set in a forest so has superb views and is also very quiet. I think one of the nicest aspects of it is that it isn't crowded or bustling with guests. They have a badminton court, bicycles and a table tennis table, which is great for kids or for playing with your kids.

The biggest positive is the wonderful staff at the property. Top notch hospitality. Some of the best food I’ve eaten at a property. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. The property in itself is beautiful and very well maintained!!

"WONDERFUL BLOT AMONGST ALL TAJ IHCL"

One of the worst hospitality ever experienced. Nothing like TAJ Experience was felt. 1) Extremely understaffed. 2) No power backups. Property gets pitch dark at times of power outrage. 3) No FIRST AID available. Given the remote location of property. It is must to have inhouse. 4) No local activities which generally all TAJ IHCL properties have for recreation. 5) Spider in our plate & the waiter behaved like as it was a normal routine. 6) Mr. Jagat Singh- GM at property. He is highly unempathetic person. So for the people, who want to know further. I am going to elaborate on these points one by one below now. Above was a pointer summary. I booked TAJ IHCL RAMGADH LODGE for 3rd Janurary 2025 - 5th January 2025. We were 2 couples with our kids along with us, in all making us 8. The whole intention was to have a enjoy a comfortable weekend with family & friends. EXTREMELY UNDERSTAFFED a) There is absolutely no one majority time of the day at front desk. There is no bell placed so that we can call them, if we are near front desk / common areas. Just keep looking out for them or call them by entering staff areas like kitchen etc.. There were only 4 or 5 rooms occupied out of 14 rooms. Still the situation was so pathetic that you will feel, it is more comfortable not to ask. b) After 10pm. The property literally runs on 2 people. One gaurd at the main door & one attendant who sleeps in the kitchen. The reception phone line gets transferred in kitchen. Now he is responsible for ROOM SERVICE, FRONT DESK, KITCHEN, SECURITY SURVILLANCE, GUEST ANEMITIES etc... Multi profile job, which he fulfills by sleeping. Will attach image. c) During lunches, there are already a very few waiters / helpers. Struggling to serve us to the best they can but unfortunately failing to do so. It took us 3 hours just to get through the lunch. The service is so slow that literally we stopped ordering food as it was not coming in on time. By the time vegetables came, breads got cold & vice versa was happening. Now my earnest request to TAJ is, if your property is running under so stress, why are you still inviting walking guests during the day for lunches?? There was a 25 people lunch who were comfortable getting served but we as IN HOUSE GUESTS, had no preference. Like are we expected to move out of property for our meals?? NO POWER BACKUPS Being given the property is located in such a remote area, it is normal to expect power outrage. a) Now being winters, day are short. It was around 7:30pm & sun had already set. Our kids were playing in the garden. Suddenly the power goes out. No we are in ZERO VISIBLITY. PITCH DARK- and to my nightmare, i am unable to even see them where they are in that darkness. Kids started screaming terribly as even they got scared. Thank to god, that light came in 10 seconds, so then i could grab them. Else it was nothing less than a heart attack moment for me. b) Next day morning i was in bathroom. Just stepped out of shower. Now the Bath Tub has some leakages so there was water on the bathroom floor. All of sudden again a power outrage. NO VISIBLITY in BATHROOM. Now i know, there is water on floor & i don't know exactly where, so that i don't hurt myself. I stopped as & where i am and waited till the light came back in. It is not something, i expect at TAJ to be happening with me. GENSETS / INVERTERS are basics. NO FIRST AID a) It was quite cold & unfortunately kids caught cough & fever. We felt that 2:30am in night. I called at "SO CALLED RECEPTION / FRONT DESK" for some basic medication like paracetamol. But the guy updated us sir we don't keep any medicines. Now given the remote location of property, there is no medical shop nearby. Closest one was 5kms away, that too not open at that time. We really had a difficult night. TAJ IHCL is expected to have FIRST AID in place. I mean was not staying at a low cost property that i can accept all this happening. NO RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES AT PROPERTY I am regulary staying at TAJ & it is very normal that they have many different kind of recreational activities planned for there guests in the property. And these activities like walk / trekking etc are generally not mentioned, when we book our stay. But it is there as an extra sweet gesture at the property. Now this property has absolutely nothing. When we asked about this, the GM told us. "You should have checked before booking. We don't have any such things in our property." I mean it is ok not to have, but the way you are replying is really not good. SPIDER IN FOOD PLATE Now they have beautiful outdoor sitting. So we decided to sit out, enjoy the winter sun & eat. We were given a free standing awning kind of structure to sit under while we get served. Now that awning might not have been cleaned properly. Given the fact that they are severly understaffed. Plates got laid & one of us saw spider in plate in our plate. We called waited to get the plate replaced & complained him how this happened. To which he replies "Sir it was not there when i laid the plate." and hearing the response we are like... "Do you really mean to say that we placed it??" I am you could be humble enough to accept tha fact that awning might not be clean so it fell. So could be apologetic & tell ok sir we will take care of this better in future or ask us that let me shift your place. But nothing of that sort happened. Instead we were made felt as if we placed the spider & called him to bother him. What great hospitality standards is staff following. Are they even from hospitality school or just some random hires from local village. UNEMPATHATIC GENERAL MANAGER Now to top it all on. We face this guy called Mr. Jagat Singh, who thinks very great of himself. We made a complain by email on TAJ EPICURE CUSTOMER CARE. So that they know what has happened. I also personally marked TAJ HOTELS on X & INSTAGRAM so that there team gets to know about what guests are made to experience at this property. But no one from TAJ connected with us till today i.e., 10-01-2025 except this gentleman who is apparently GM at the property. He must have received complain from EPICURE team, that is why he bothered to talk to us. Now, i was quite rude enough, given the pleasantries we received at TAJ in past 2 days. At time of checkout, i told him upfront that this property doesn't seems me fit enough to have TAJ IHCL association. Now rather than asking what happened & understanding the problems in depth. He bluntly told us ok i will do something in bill. I mean, i am not asking for any mercy from you. You should have been humble, polite, considerate what your guest is feeling at your property. Rather just trying to shoo off the matter by offering some discounts. Just to make things more clear, i am paying approximately Rs. 25,000/room/night so i am definitely expecting a great service. At which your staff has failed miserably. Now when you could have tried to understand what we really mean to tell you, you are running away from the situation & not facing the facts. I got told by Mr. Jagat "I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE EXPERCIENCE YOU HAD HERE. AND THIS EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BE TAKING BACK WITH YOU." Is this really kind of reply any GM will give to guests?? I really fell this property needs a lot of improvement from upgrading services, amenities & more specifically the GM-Mr. Jagat Singh. Our paid HI-TEA COFFEE got served with PARLE G BUSCUITS(Rs. 5 wale) instead of Cookies, which generally all other peer hotels might have done. Thanks.

"A wonderful stay"

Ramgarh Lodge IHCL SeleQtions A truly wonderful place. A pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. Luxurious and authentic Art Deco surroundings. A beautiful garden and incredibly delicious and well-balanced Indian cuisine. The breakfast buffet is fresh and absolutely delightful. The staff is extremely helpful, especially Gendi Lal, who took my wife and me on a 3 km walk through fields and villages. It is highly recommended to join a cooking class with the skilled chef, where you’ll prepare three delicious dishes. The manager of Ramgarh Lodge is very welcoming and hospitable. He made us feel very much at home

"Hunting lodge : fantastic"

As we want to run away from Jaipur with some friends we decided to spend 3 days at the Lodge what a great time! The place is so well decorated.. the garden and pool .. wooo and rooms are really amazing! All the staff is very nice and food lovely Around you can have a walk there is a vegetable garden.. i plan to go back is so close to the town easy to rich! And you are in the country.
