Sandman Inn Blue River

Bathroom was very small, barhroom exhaust fan wasn't working,air conditioning unit stopped working in middle of night.property need renovation.

Room was very comfortable and the onsite restaurant was clean and delicious, the server was very attentive and fast.

The rooms need a much needed upgrade. Steam-cleaning the carpets would be a start as our room smelled of cigarette smoke and the carpets were dirty. The extractor fan in the bathroom was so noisy that it was sure to bother the rooms around us.

The staff in both the restaurant and the front desk are very friendly.

The rooms are very old and worn out, bathtub and bed especially. The room had filthy baseboards and dirt in the corners, the tub had that pink grime around the drain that could have easily been cleaned. The food at the restaurant is mediochre and menu relies on fried food. I have stayed at other Sandman hotels and this did not live up to the brand. Especially for the price.

The bed was clean and bathroom clean. Carpets were dirty with obvious spilt and dried (?) on it. Window sills dirty with no screen when opening to allow fresh air in. Wine bottle and beer cans on property near our room. Unkempt dumpster across from our room entrance. Battery operated smoke detector went off at 4:30 in the morning. Not a pace I would return to.

Exterior door and interior doors were scuffed and dirty around the handles. The entrance sidewalk to the room is missing concrete and untidy. The room had a musty smell.

Teppich im Zimmer war wiederlich schmutzig und klebrig. Das Badezimmer hat übel gerochen. Zimmereingang hinter dem Restaurant lärmig am Morgen als der Kontainer geleert wurde.

The pictures sure look nice. BUT We have stayed at Sandman in the past at other locations. Never been disappointed. We won't stay at Sandman Blue River agaib.
