Quality Inn Chester - South Richmond

Clean and quiet.

The smell destroyed everything good!!

No pool as advertised. The hotel smelled like a seeer. No clean towels when asked. The housekeeper could not speak English. I told her we need towels and washcloths and she brought neither. Young guy at the desk wasnt hospitable.

I seen one roach in room. I woke up with a rash and bit makes on my shoulders and elbows. I informed the staff.

Was not worth $120.00 per night. Unprofessional desk clerk. Understaffed. Unprofessional Appearance, dressed like gas station worker. Broken bathroom fixture, poor water pressure, Dirty Stain Sofa cushions, Depressing dull room.... Looks like a room that a person would commit suicide in. 3rd party - so no Points or Veteran Discount were supported. Absolutely my last Quality Inn, possible last Expedia.

Was satisfied with my stay. A/C worked well in late June, fridge was cold, and enough in-room coffee. Shower was good and has installed lighting as opposed to lamps. Location is close to my destination so will consider for future visits.

Not a pleasant visit as the hotel upon entry was off. The smell of mold or water issue is super strong. Cleanliness was not apart of the hotel at all. The room was not cleaned, food and trash on floor. The door key did not work, no red or green light came on. Front desk changed battery and module and still did not work. No pool, under construction. No full breakfast as listed, just waffle and yogurts.

It smelled extremely bad of sewer and weed. The room smelt of mildew.

The door was so old we could literally see the hallway from the inside of the room. The gap was so large I could stuff towels in the door frame.

The night front desk person was friendly, and check in was smooth. When we reached the room, we were greeted by the smell of smoke. Light switches didn’t seem to work, but we eventually figured them out. Some bulbs were out. One wall lamp was partially hanging out of the wall. Everything seemed clean. My wife said she killed a couple bugs. The bed was comfortable enough. The hotel was quiet. The area was nice, being located far enough south of Richmond and far enough off of I-95. Breakfast was sparse: waffles, 2 types of cereal, yogurt, coffee, milk. There was one apple in the dish, and no hot tea for my wife. Although a pool was pictured on the website, it was empty with yellow barrier tape around. Overall, disappointing. Might do for a quick overnight, but two nights was too much.

Roaches in the room and water leaking . I asked for another room same thing occurred and I can’t contact hotels.com to get a refund.
