The location is beautiful since it has an ocean view and the rooms were newly updated.

The hotel was under construction which was not noted until after I had already booked the stay. The rooms were very expensive for the hotel being under construction. The hotel also said it’s pet friendly, but it wasn’t very accommodating.

Remodeled room like new; fantastic view

The location is beautiful, with outstanding views from the hotel, free parking, and a very relaxed, friendly vibe. You can walk from the hotel down to the beach through the surrounding hotel gardens, many of which have outdoor campfires in the evening, which creates a lovely atmosphere. The room itself was a really nice surprise, especially for a three-star property. It was beautifully and recently renovated, with a finish that felt more in line with a good four-star hotel. However, the arrival experience was confusing. The signage made it feel as though we were arriving at a different property, and the lobby did not match the marketing photos. We were told the new lobby was ready but not yet open, which suggests the hotel is being marketed as the finished new property when it is clearly still under construction. There were also a few practical issues, such as being directed to a locked employees-only toilet, being allowed to use the pool but not given the key card needed to access it, and the pool bar feeling more like a tuck shop than a proper resort bar. Staff were not always very attentive, with some barely looking up from their phones as we walked past. Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential and will probably be gorgeous once finished. The room, location and views were excellent, but the current experience does not fully match the way the property is being marketed.

The newly remodeled rooms are tastefully appointed.

They charge for parking. While I was in the front desk area I overheard an employee at the reception area tell another employee about "up-charging" a customer. I hope this was not by charging that person for parking. The same person at checkout told me there was a parking fee that would be added to my bill but I let the person know that I didn't even have a car.

Sehr gute Lage direkt am Meer. Moderne Ausstattung. Gerade erst saniert. Gaststätte am Hotel sehr empfehlenswert.

Had a great anniversary stay here! Huge shoutout to Cindy at the front desk—she was so helpful and even surprised my wife and me with a bottle of wine for our anniversary. The property is currently under renovation, but the staff handles it so well that it didn’t take away from our experience at all. Highly recommend!

Weirdest story and no idea where else to put it and want to vent. Always come here for visits to the area for 10+ years and love it. So much so, that my fiancé planned our surprise engagement at the hotel. He got in contact with the manager and she agreed to take a video of the proposal (he offered $$ as well for doing so). So he proposed, it was perfect in every way. Saw the manager with the phone filming etc. she said congrats and left, we went to dinner. 6 days later and she still won’t reply to my fiancé when he has ask the video. Just very weird to me. Like if you accidentally didn’t take it you can be honestly, or tell us at the time for a reenactment photo. 😅 Either way gorgeous hotel, just a weird vibe from that haha

Excellent stop sur la route entre Las Vegas et San Francisco. Endroit magnifique !! Le restaurant à côté de l’hôtel est OK mais le personnel n’est pas très sympathique. Il y avait beaucoup de monde et le monsieur nous a pas très bien accueilli. Mais ça n’a rien à voir avec l’hôtel dont la chambre et SDB sont tres propre et bien. D’où la bonne note. Le petit balcon pour le soir était super sympa. Magnifique vue !! Personnel de l’hôtel super gentil et accueillant. Je recommande vivement.

Was ich sehr da neben finde ist dass mir viel zuspät mitgeteilt wurde das Renovation durchgeführt werden. Somit konnte ich nicht mehr ein Alternative suchen.
