All was up to standard had a good stay

The manager did process the refund for 1 evening that should have been refunded immediately but was incorrectly handled by her employee after I reviewed the situation with her.

My room had a interior dead lock on the door handle that did not lock. I let the front staff know and they also could not lock the door and left me in the hallway to figure out the issue and then told me to use the 2nd thin metal security lock at the top of the door, this was also the managers solution in a later conversation after the fact. They also said if the door was not shut in the jam completely the deadbolt would engage. This left a large gap around the door jam into the hallway and felt very unsecure and unsafe. Much less not very private. I was told there were no other rooms available as they were completely booked that night. After talking to my family, we found a new hotel for me to stay at and I left after 20 minutes of me standing in the room on the phone. The front desk staff said that he could now move me to a room someone had not yet checked into as I was leaving and that it was my choice to leave, if that had been offered when I expressed concern multiple times I would have accepted. But now it was 2am and I already had a new reservation and a wedding event the next morning. I later learned he did not process my room being vacant, canceling my remaining days for the entire weekend or my refund for the stay as requested. The establishment has refused to work with me on refunding my entire stay not just the 2nd night saying it is Booking.com policy which booking.com has contacted them to clarify this request and now is stating there is nothing wrong with the door lock altogether even though their staff also struggled with the door lock. Highly disappointed in both the Days Inn & Suites and booking.com for the negative experience and lack of support and follow up on a complaint.

Was not allowed to stay. I made the reservation with understanding that this was a pet friendly hotel. It was after all on bring Fido.com. whe we arrived i was told pets were not allowed. So I had to find a place to stay on memorial day weekend. The front desk person was not helpful at all. It was also on a very busy street so would have probably been noisy. Will not use Booking.com again as they were not helpful either.

Breakfast was so-so. Could have had more variety of yogurt, bread choices. Bagels, whole wheat English muffin.

Quite tricky getting into the bed. Was a wall 3-4 inches away from bed. Had to crawl in from foot. Not easy to do that with arthritis. Maybe just have the upper part of wall?? Or move it over so can get beside the bed.

It was.so clean and.quiet and beds comfortable
