Casa Ojai Inn

The room was spacious. The pool area was well maintained. I didn't use the bikes but appreciated the amenity (fyi they have to be back before sundown). Parking was easy. The staff were very friendly and warm. Had the Jacuzzi to myself one night which was very relaxing. I appreciated the trail mix and bottled waters. I also liked the selection of kcups in the room. There was a nice variety of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.

Walls were thin. There are no elevators so beware if you are on the second floor away from the stairs like I was. WiFi was laggy. Since the TV is Roku shows kept lagging or buffering. I had some work to do which took double the time because of the wifi connection. It was pretty frustrating, eventually I gave up. Location is okay. Not horrible but about a 15+ minute walk to things. I didn't find the bed comfortable. It was also creaky.

The wifi did not work at all even after asking the receptionist to help us fix it. We also did not have proper towels. For a $400 dollar room (which is standard in ojai, but..) you expect these basic things

On the positive side, the location is great and the jacuzzi area was definitely a highlight and a nice way to relax.

Overall, the stay was okay, but there are a few important things to know before booking. If you’re assigned Room 109, I would recommend asking for a different room. It’s located in the corner of the property with no real view, and it sits directly under the stairs. Unfortunately, that means you hear every guest going up and down to the rooms above, which can be quite noisy and disruptive.

Staff was amazing. Pool and hot tub were great as well. Next to the trolley stop. Bike checkout was great.

No microwaves in the room which wasn’t true to the listing. Otherwise nothing. Lots of kids which is out of the hotels control but can sometimes crowd places like the pool.

Rooms were spacious, parking generous and away from the hustle & bustle of the main area of downtown Ojai. Everything was driveable but could possibly walk it between Spring and early Fall. Dog friendly with grass patches as well as provided bags, chipped ice machine and a filtered water dispenser. Additionally, there's the heated pool and jacuzzi along with tubs in-room. Second floor had some great views oh the surrounding mountains so it felt a bit secluded in a good way!

The listing did state the beds were Queens but our bed felt more like Full, unfortunately.
