Location is amazing, walking distance to the pier and several great restaurants.

Elevator was a little small but not a deal breaker.

Great vibes all around! It was very convenient having the kitchen/bar open all day, as opposed to the typical “morning only” options that many places offer. Arrived early afternoon, very hungry and was able to order a delicious sandwich. Very clean-staff was lovely!

Room was large , clean and comfortable . Bed was likewise comfortable. Bathroom was clean and serviceable .

Those rooms in the back of the hotel facing the pool really need blackout curtains . Two bright tall lights from an adjacent property shine into the room all night. The current curtain arrangement does little to diminish the brightness of those lights. So it’s a problem for anyone with any light sensitivity when they sleep.

We stayed at the Redondo Beach hotel for 7 nights, whilst attending a course held in the hotel. The hotel is located across the road from the marina, and so our marina view room is a case of being able to see the top of the masts rather than the complete area. However, that said, it's an improvement of looking over the carpark at the rear with no real view at all. Nearby are several restaurants and bars, including The Cheese Factory and Bluewater Grill. About 1 mile away, so a 20 minute walk, is Hermosa Pier area, and there are also plenty of bars/restaurants to choose from. A Whole Foods is also about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The promenade walk to Hermosa is really pleasant as is the view along the beach. The bedroom itself was fine, if a little dated but the cleaning staff did a good job everyday. The room had a descent fridge, and coffee machine plus a microwave. The hotel decor does feel a bit dated as well, and is not what you would refer to as modern. That said, the room rates were not excessive and the location made up for it. The bed was very comfortable but the in room air conditioning unit was rather noisy and so a case of cooling the room before and then turning it off when going to sleep. One other aspect is noise from adjacent rooms. We were on the second floor, and could hear the people in the room above us walking around. I would recommend asking for a room on the third floor to avoid this. The review perhaps paints a bad picture, but that is not the intent and the staff seem to work hard at keeping the hotel clean and tidy. What could easily be improved upon is the front of house staff being a bit more friendly. A good morning hello would not go a miss rather than avoiding eye contact. The lady on reception when we checked out was also rather abrupt, talking to another member of staff, rather than dealing with us and no thanks for staying with us, etc. Overall this is a 4 star review, which is because of the location, cleanliness of the hotel and relative room cost.
