Rancho California Inn Temecula

The location was off the main road, which made it a quiet place to stay. The room was a lot smaller than I expected, but we had a comfortable sleep which was important.

When we first got there in the early evening, an older woman was at the front desk and could not find our reservation (even though I confirmed it twice). It also didn't help that she didn't speak much English, so I had a hard time understanding her. After a phone call with her son (who is the manager) it was finally straightened out. The overall aesthetics of the exterior was disappointing. It looked very run down from the outside and the room was a lot smaller than I expected. Also, it looked like there were "homeless" living in a couple of the rooms, which also brings down the reputation of the property.

I liked the property , very quiet but close to major shopping areas.

The hotel was fine. Clean, simple, affordable. Easy to access and quiet. Includes a pool (which we did not use) but no jacuzzi, if that matters.

Terrible wi-fi. No breakfast or any bonus ammentities

The room didn't smell as bad on the second night.

Some sort of heavy chemical disinfectant was used in the room, which smelled terrible and burned my eyes and nose.
