DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon Hotel

Large clean room, plenty of room for the two large crates for my dogs. Comfortable large bed and nice shower room. Great value for the price, and only 30 minutes from where I needed to be the next day.

No air con and the weather was at 30 bed was so uncomfortable had a shit or mattress protector on which were too small and a line just dug in all night, pillows were really bad.

If you are considering staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon, do yourself a massive favor and book somewhere else. This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, but it completely lacks basic amenities, proper room standards, and consistent human decency. ​🚨 Unbearable Room Conditions & Broken AC ​During our stay, temperatures outside reached a scorching 33°C. The air conditioning in our room was completely broken, turning the space into a stifling, dangerous environment. To make matters worse, the room standards were unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a Hilton: ​The Beds: Incredibly creaky and uncomfortable. ​The Hygiene: Filthy, unhygienic glasses were left in the room, alongside dirty linen and stained carpets. ​👶 The Human Cost & Shocking Service ​The consequences of the broken AC were heartbreaking. We were forced to spend hours in a sweltering room trying to soothe a wailing 4-month-old baby who could not handle the heat, all while managing an overly exhausted 7-year-old. ​When I called down to reception in absolute desperation, I was met with the utmost arrogance by a receptionist named Isabelle. Instead of showing an ounce of empathy or customer service, she happily hung up on a distressed parent. ​🕒 Our Midnight Savior ​The single saving grace of this entire horrific experience was Clavin, who came to our rescue around midnight. He was incredibly empathetic, understanding, and actually took action to help us out of an unbearable situation. ​⚠️ Final Warning: Book at Your Own Risk ​Staying here is a high-stakes gamble. Be warned: you are risking your family's comfort and sanity in a substandard, dirty room where you risk being spoken to with toxic rudeness by staff like Isabelle. Unless you want to cross your fingers and hope you get lucky enough to deal with a rare professional like Clavin, save yourself the misery and avoid this hotel at all costs.

Staff on reception, restaurant & the cleaners were lovely, restaurant was great, location was good.

The room wasn’t clean the bath had dirt and multiple hairs in it, things like the remote control were visibly filthy. Even the chairs in the bar had stains on them. I mean it’s expensive & 11am check out 3pm check in surly there is time to clean! I read online that cleaners only have 15 min per room & those cups in the room are only rinsed out in the sink or worse cleaned with the same cloth the bathroom was cleaned with, I am horrified! £150 for 2 nights i expected better.
