Genova surf house

It was super clean and close to Cathedral beach.

I booked a private room with king size bed and the owner gave me a private room with twin beds. I showed him the reservation with the bed selection and he told me that option was not available for that price and basically i had to pay more if I wanted a different bed. The add is misleading, as you can choose the beds, and he doesn’t care. He literally said this is what you get. He is sharing the kitchen with his daughter and he is always at home in the front yard listening to music or cleaning or cooking something. If you want privacy, make sure you get one of the apartments on floor 1 or 2. Internet was also not great.

I stayed at the Genova surf house for 4 weeks and it was perfect. Yousef and Mohammed were exceptional hosts and went above and beyond to keep me comfortable during my stay. The property is split into 3 separate apartments and is kept pristine throughout. The views of Cathedral (surf spot) are first class and the village and the magic bay are a short walk up the street. Each apartment has a kitchen and laundry utilities are also available at request. Overall very happy with my stay.. Thank you.

Youssef and Mohamed were fantastic hosts, they were very attentive and there for me at all times. Everything in the house was in excellent condition and exceptionally clean.

The owner, and Mohammad who works there, are amazing, its literally like living in a five star hotel with concierge service.

The staff was overall friendly and helpful. Needed to wash a few items and they helped me for free. The location was overall good and it provided a nice sunset view to the sea.

The windows are very thin and some don't feel like they properly close. Also the curtains are light. I was staying on the ground floor and it felt like people could look into the room or into the bathroom if they wanted to. Also the dogs in the neighbourhood bark a lot, so having a bit more solid windows and curtains would make this a great place to stay.

Good location, close to everything important. Relatively new building so looks fresh and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

No door handle on inside of room door. Host tried to charge me extra 25 Euros for use of communal/seating area when I arrived. Sometimes no hot water for a shower. Loud local dogs barking into the night.
