Mercure Hotel Köln West

The hotel itself is decent, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, I was very disappointed with the swimming pool facilities. One of the reasons we booked this hotel was because it advertised a swimming pool. Unfortunately, after arriving, we discovered that children’s swimming lessons are regularly held in the pool. As a result, hotel guests are often unable to use the pool properly or enjoy a relaxing swim. This information was not clearly communicated during the booking process or at check-in. Had we known that the pool would be occupied by swimming lessons, we would have considered other accommodation options. I believe the hotel should clearly inform guests about these restrictions in advance. Transparency about the availability of facilities is important, especially when they are a key factor in choosing a hotel.
