SureStay Plus by Best Western Cannon A.F.B.

Breakfast was plentiful. Had to wait a little while for scrambled eggs.

Everything was great.

We booked a smoke free room. She switched our to first level but then it was a smoking room. But she didn't tell us that.

Front desk was friendly and accommodating with late 8PM check in. Also provided a New Mexico guide to learn about the area and things to do. Property is a bit old and worn, but generally clean. Room was non-smoking but clearly had been smoked in by multiple patrons in the past.

Staff excellent and very helpful and pleasant.

Extremely small bathroom….nowhere to hang clothes to change into after showering.

Excellent options for breakfast and better Super 8's than I had experienced. Later in trip stayed at another Super 8 only to be disappointed in comparison to this one. Overall comfort of bed and room temperature was good.

Poor water pressure and disappointed in shower. A bit noisy given the train tracks across the street from hotel. Likely would have been an issue at most any of the other hotels along this same road.

I often stop over in Clovis on annual drives between TX and CO, and since it's just for an overnight stay between 2 long days of driving, my only requirements are somwhere to sleep that is clean and quiet and safe and dog-friendly - and this Super 8 is actually all of the above. It looks a bit sketchy from the outside (but honestly, so does all of Clovis!) - but the rooms are non-smoking and clean and quiet and the A/C works well.
