Bra: arkitektonisk perle. God parkeringsmulighet. Vakre omgivelser. Fri tilgang på kaffe i fellesareal. Godt trykk på vann i dusj(unngår irriterende sparedusjløsning som Så altfor mange andre steder). Portvin på rommet og fin gest. God mat i restaurant, rikt vinkart. Tilrettelegging for kjæledyr og svært kjærkomment. Sted Perfekt utgangspunkt for sport som landeveissykling løp padling etc. Norges vakreste område. Senter for Telemarkskanalen. Neg: rommene er de fleste ganske så små. Suitene er unntaket. Savner kjøleskap/minibar på ihvertfall suite. Frokosten har alltid og vært god, men ifm Corona innført en sparsommelig petit frokostløsning både mht mengde mat, variasjonen og ferskheten på brød. Her ser jeg den største oppsiden før perfeksjon

This is a beautiful historic hotel, we had a wonderful stay. Walked the grounds and enjoyed the beauty and quiet. Staff was extemley nice and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Food was excellent! Splurge alittle and stay at this hotel, you win't be disappointed.

A magical experience - like stepping back in time. Excellent in every way...from pleasant and efficient check in to superb meal with white glove service, amusing story telling, and phenomenal views. We took the MS Henrik Ibsen up the Telemark Canal which added charm to the entire experience. The staff was attentive, cheerful, and pleasant. The rooms and decor were a throw back to kinder more gentile times where class and elegance were so very important. The pace was slow...everyone's shoulders fell as they relaxed in an atmosphere devoid of technical distractions. And the surrounding views were phenomenal. Norwegian nature at its best. Highly recommend!
Fantastisk mat, fikk virkelig en opplevelse. Kunnskapsrike og hyggelige servitører. Rommene er veldig dårlig isolerte, hørte snorking i stereo mellom rommene, toalett flush som om det var på eget bad osv.
