The Louie, A Davenport Hotel, Autograph Collection

We have stayed at the Davenport many times. This was our first time at the Lusso. Overall the hotel is nice. A few problems with the room. Particularly the bathroom. The lighting is terrible. There is no way to control and the light around the sink and makeup mirror were more like a nightlight. The shower is extremely unsafe to get into. Difficulty getting into the tub and it was extremely slippery. We both almost fell. The room was lovely and very quiet which we did appreciate. The Pub downstairs also closed earlier than we expected. It was New Year's and it closed at 9. We came back to the hotel to get food and nothing was available in either restaurant. Both restaurants were closing up. Very inconvenient for all of the guests still roaming around.

Hotel is starting to look run down. TV did not work for 2 of 3 days. Gave us a $25 food credit. Not enough. Have stayed in the past. Marriott ownership has really dumbed down the property.

Even though our room was nice, the TV didn't work, nor did the power outlets. We requested pillows that didn't arrive. That being said, a very professional young woman at the front desk, Lauren Clausen, did everything she could to help us feel better about our stay. Lauren should be recognized for her professionalism and positive attitude.

The hotel is beautiful exactly what I expected. The issue was the tv did not work. We were offered another room but decided not to switch as they could not promise that tv would work( a known issue in the whole hotel). The person that made this trip was Danielle at the front desk. She apologized multiple times for the television situation and went above and beyond to try and rectify the situation. It was because of her that we did not cancel our reservation after learning of the issue. She was great from the time she first greeted us at check in, taking our irritated call about tv. We have stayed at multiple Davenport properties and never had this issue so don’t hesitate to book. You will be in for a special treat if Danielle is working front desk when you check in.

We rode our bicycles over from Coeur d’Alene and this was the perfect place to stay. Walking or riding distance to lots of restaurants, shopping, and things to do. Will definitely stay there again!

Beautiful room, friendly service, though it was impossible to find a temporary spot to unload our car.

Huge room!

Hotel was lovely inside, property surrounding seemed unclean and didn't feel safe.

Great history to this hotel! Loved how all rooms still had the original transom’s. You could feel the old west as you meandered through the hotel. I had a street view I believe on the 4th or 5th floor. Room was spacious, bed and pillows comfortable. The shower needed handrails due to the tub was over 21” tall and it was difficult to get in and out of the shower. Staff was professional and friendly. Only problem was no parking so you had to valet or park a block away in a garage. Definitely would stay again
