Best Western Campbellsville Inn

I booked the Best Western Campbellsville a few weeks ago via Travelocity. The morning my stay was supposed to start I got an email from Travelocity at 7:22am that I needed to call to update my payment info (pay on site was selected) the email stated I needed to update the payment method before 18:21:47 (6:21pm) or my reservation MIGHT be canceled. I read the email at 9:45am, called the hotel at 10:00am to update the card and was told that Travelocity had canceled my reservation and that I could rebook it directly with the Best Western at $50 more per night. Needless to say I got off the phone and called Travelocity. I cited my email and the timing it had given me and was informed that Travelocity had not canceled the reservation, rather the management at Best Western had. I called the Best Western back and got nothing but more lies and more excuses. I firmly believe they saw it as an opportunity to jack up the pricing. Shameful behavior from a manager that STILL hasn’t called me back. Ultimately Travelocity apologized that the hotel didn’t follow protocol and hold the reservation as they were supposed to, they also gave me a $50 credit which is a nice move but money that should have been coming from Best Western. I would be VERY careful when reserving this hotel. The management team seems to be a little corrupt and crooked and they certainly lack any sense of serving the customer or holding up their end of the reservation.

The location was important to us for the weekend - it was conveniently located in Campbellsville.

The hotel is old and does not have an elevator - the stairs are steep especially for someone with mobility issues like I have. The staff was not very friendly and didn't seem to care about checking for a room downstairs for us.

The beds were comfy also hot tub was a nice setup beautiful lobby. Hotel was clean. I like where it is located.
