Bakubung Bush Lodge

The staff was lovely and friendly. The spa was beautiful experience.

The food variety was very limited, and seems like the menu had not been updated in years, if not more than a decade.

excellent breakfast and dinner, the kids facilities, game drive.

Lovely spacious room, comfortable bed with a large bathroom. Food was varied and tasty. The dark curtains made it very easy to sleep late. The diningroom staff sang for my boyfriend's 60th birthday and he got cake (extra cost) for breakfast. The bush braai was excellent.

Diningroom was very noisy and busy at times. We also had noisy neighbours in the adjacent room late at night at times during our 5 day stay. The staff at the Bakubang boom gate were friendlier and more helpful than the Bakubang Reception staff. The game drive drivers spent more time racing around looking for lions than letting people enjoy the bush and the animals we saw. Some of the information they provided was incorrect including telling guests that there are rattlesnakes in the wild in South Africa. I don't think a game drive per day should be included in the rate, we only did 2 on our 5-day stay but had many excellent sightings when driving ourselves around.

It was well located. Good staff. Very efficient. Room was comfortable and nicely appointed
