B&B HOTEL Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe

Overall I cannot fault this hotel except in one aspect, which will be describes in a moment. The front desk was perfect in every way, above and beyond. The breakfasts buffet was terrific though not included in the price of the room. Fresh fruit salads and different favors of yoghurt in large bowls, yum, plus lots else. The dinners in the same dining room as breakfast were adequate. The one and only problem lay in the fact that we had a room on the front of the hotel and the train station and multiple trolley lineswere directly beneath our window. I forgot, two problems. The second one was that the hotel has no air conditioning and I was too not to sleep so opened the window. People were standing outside the hotel smoking and talking loudly until 1AM or so and the cigarette smoke was entering our room. Also trains ran (lots of them) all night long and multiple troll lies until 10PM. The front desk offers people in the front rooms earplugs! Which I accepted and was then able to sleep. My husband didn't hear anything, just slept soundly. The rooms on the back are where you should reserve and I think you will be most happy with this hotel.

A convenient location for travelers taking ICEs. The complimentary city transportation pass is particularly useful because the hotel is not within walking distance of the main part of town.

The service was good and the English of the reception staff are great. The hotel has great location and very convenient. The inclusion of public transport is an added value.

Hotel is convenient located near main train station. Excellent access to public transportation for travel to the city center.

It was difficult to find the parking and entrance to the hotel. We parked on side street and walk around to entrance to hotel then with assistance from desk clerk was able to get into parking area.

We were in Kassel for Documenta 13. Location was perfect - right next to the train station as we were taking a very early train so only had to go next door.. Downside was that it was right next to the train station, so it was very noisy with the trains, trams and buses going in and out. Ask for an inside room. Staff was very helpful loaning us an extra phone plug as we only brought one converter. Negative - no free Wifi. Would definitely stay here again.

i stayed here for 2 nights and found the staff to be very courtious and helpful, the restaurant was spotless clean and both the breakfast and dinner were very good indeed and well presented.

Situated 2 mins from train station and trolley buses, easy to get around. We picked up breakfast from the local bakeries at the train station. Dinner at the hotel was very good and reasonably priced. Public transport was included in the hotel tariff, so you could not lose.

My partner & I were in Kassel for doCumenta (13), and picked this hotel as it was near the railway. We came by rail from France, and the hotel was just right next to the railway station! Surprisingly, it was very peaceful and quiet at night, even though our rooms was facing the front. Rooms were clean & comfortable,and there were supermarkets, bakeries, fast food & cafes all within walking distance. Hotel staff could speak & understand English. But room rates a bit pricey...

Good, standard hotel. Clean rooms. Right next to one of the main stations (which is great if you are arriving straight from Frankfurt airport). They give you a public transportation pass for the city, which is one less thing to worry about. Super convenient, and most of all, great price. That said, it's pretty bland, not great if you're looking for a romantic get together.
