Best Western Brantford Hotel and Conference Centre

We were not told the hot tub was out of order. My husband is disabled and because our room was so far from the elevator, we used the stairs. We found out after changing and getting down there, it was not working!!! The pool was like ice, so after driving all day, we were “sorely” disappointed. It was not mentioned on their site or I would not have booked it. We were told it had been out over a week. We were looking forward to eating in the restaurant on site, another reason we picked this hotel, only to find out it was closed. Breakfast was ok, our other request in a hotel.

Awkward layout, depending on room location it’s a lot of walk to get to elevators and your room, especially with small children. Rooms are dated which is fine. Unfortunately our tub leaked, and there was a leak in the roof of the hallway on our floor. The pool also could of used a good vacuum. The building was under renovation on the first floor which is fine but I feel like the price should reflect this. However, the staff were unbelievably friendly and accommodating. Our room was also very clean. And we enjoyed the breakfast.

Unfortunately we stayed when there was a hockey tournament and it was way too noisy.

Hockey kids were running around everywhere. One kid was using ice from the ice machine to wash his hands! That im sure is a health and safety issue!! I would not stay there again.

Good room

Travelled here with a hockey team for a tournament. This hotel is very basic and is in the middle of a renovation. Our room was clean and comfortable for the most part. The outdoor space was great to have for the kids in between games, however another team of parents was very loud well into the night and could be heard pretty clearly off the balcony. The breakfast buffet was ok. Main complaint is that the fitness room does not open until 8am because it is apparently "the main noise complaint". I find that difficult to believe considering the loud noises coming from all of the doors throughout the hotel. If this is truly the case, than move the fitness room or do some sound proofing. Overall, it was an ok stay, but I probably would not choose to stay here again.
