Delta Hotel Vlaardingen

I spent two nights at this Hotel with my partner and 5 year old girl. The extra bed provided made the room feel over crowded, and it would seem that having a child in our party decreed that we had a sub standard view of the river. Other family parties were in similarly appointed rooms. Having said that, the staff were polite and friendly, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the breakfast buffet was varied and tasty. The view from the restaurant is great. This hotel is also in easy walking distance of a supermarket and a choice of restaurants. There is a water taxi stop at the hotel.

Nice hotel in Vlaardingen right on the river but not near restaurants or shopping. Very much a business hotel. The 18 euro breakfast is outrageous (we passed on that). There was a coffee machine near the elevators in the lobby so we helped ourselves and were yelled at by some guy on staff who actually ran down the hall to tell us the coffee was for clients attending conferences and promptly closed the cupboard doors and locked it all up. Note to manager..the guy could have explained this calmly and not made us feel like thieves and maybe don't leave the lovely, unattended, coffee bar open for the people STAYING at the hotel to think is complimentary. We spent 2 nights and had 2 rooms..maybe a free coffee would have been a nice thing.

We did not get a room as per reservation Captain suite with riverview. We had to close the curtains to stop people looking in from the restaurant. The only window we could leave open showed the buildings on the quaylTried to get the room we paid for but very little improvement if any. In fact the same bad location round the back of the hotel and not on the river we have stayed there many times before but no more. Staff did not really care as they realised where do we go friday afternoon late when checking in. There was no room service. Also there was no hot and cold water on the Saturday morning. so we could not shower or bathe. When we got back at midnight the room was flooded we did what we could as the night porter had no support. In fact we right this down to utter disaster and feel we require a full refund

A very nice stay indeed

We had three people and our room was so tiny! The room was comfortable enough with a good shower and air conditioning. The linens were nice. Fine for an overnight stay.

Handsome nautical themed hotel and restaurant right on the riverfront, a great place to sip on the patio an watch the ocean barges sail by. Nice, modern, compact and clean rooms, nothing too over the top but a great value for the price, including an excellent hot breakfast buffet. Only downside is it's a bit isolated from downtown Rotterdam and the train system, but you can call ahead for a water taxi.

Great staff, great location, fab restaurant location, rooms a bit tired

Hotel Nautical theme and condition excellent. That's the big things. The small things were twin beds for a honeymoon couple ( requested double) and no steak knives for steak ( the standard knife could not cut the meat). Lovely to watch the barges & boats lumber by.

Wonderful; can't wait to go back.Friendly and efficient, grerat location.
