The truth is that the cleaner cleaned every day and did it quite thoroughly. Although on the last day we were left without hand soap and the floor wasn’t vacuumed, it wasn’t a major issue. Fantastic location.

I will start by saying that I made a complaint to the reception staff, Booking.com, and Campanile itself, but none of them resolved the issue yet (it has already been two weeks since our stay), so I decided to write this review to WARN others. We booked a room with two separate beds. To our surprise, our room turned out to be “outside” the main hotel building, accessible through an extremely dirty corridor. Before deciding that we are simply dissatisfied guests, you can judge it yourself based on the photos I am attaching to this review. The room (our door AND window) was literally facing the outside. There was a gate, but it remained open during the day, and cars and scooters were parked directly in front of it. We could hear every sound during the night, which was the worst and scariest part of the stay. We were afraid to open the window at night because literally anyone could have gotten into the room. Every night we could hear our neighbors opening and closing doors, and we constantly heard noises from the outside. The nights were genuinely uncomfortable and scary. Not to mention that the room itself (e.g. the windows) looked NOTHING like the photos shown on Booking.com. Additionally, the room does not have a safe, fridge, or iron (just be mindful of that). There was also no proper ventilation in the room, and whenever we tried to air it out during the day, dusty air from the backyard came inside. We asked twice to be moved to another room (we even said we didn’t mind having one double bed instead of two separate beds). I explained that the room looked nothing like the one we had booked and that nobody informed us we would be placed in the “backyard” area where people could potentially access the room through the window. The receptionist told us we can pay an additional 30 euros per night (!) to be moved to another room. We travel quite often (a couple of times a year), and this was our fourth visit to Nice.

Presque tout était parfait, personnel professionnel et disponible. Les chambres bien équipées et confortables. Le petit déjeuner parfait comme dans tous les campanile.

L'isolation des chambres peut largement être améliorée, on entend l'extérieur et les clients peu délicats à certains horaires.
