Hôtel ibis Montauban

Chose here because it had an onsite dog friendly restaurant ( if you've been driving all day it doesn't feel right leaving the dog in the car). Unfortunately it was closed when website said it should have been open. Recommended restaurant turned out to be a 3.5 mile walk and wasn't very good. Shame as staff were good and location is ideal for our journeys but won't go again

I selected this hotel for a return trip from business in Spain as a half way point knowing I would arrive mid evening and that it had a restaurant and was on the motorway. On arrival I was told there was no restaurant as they closed it at weekends. This was a Friday evening. There is nowhere else nearby. They offered a selection of ready made snack food and my supper after seven hours on the road was a bowl of packet soup and some fruit salad. The staff were dismissive and just shrugged their shoulders. They could not have cared less. Don't stay here Montauban has much more to offer than this place.

We only stayed one night for a rest-stop during a long journey. The hotel is a basic nightstop unit come motel, although clean and staff friendly, the restaurant rarely appears open (closed on our stay) leaving no options for dining as there is nothing close-by (without driving again). They offer room service meals - 8 choices, which you collect yourself from the front desk - it makes you wonder if they offer room service why not open the restaurant ???

Difficult to locate, unless you are approaching Montauban on the motorway, however, the staff very friendly and efficient. Room clean,quiet and reasonable size. Nice to have the pool on site too. A bit too far out of town, if you are wanting to eat out, and not drive. I would definitely stay again if I was passing that way.

My Partner 7 I had to overnight in the Mantauban area due to unexpected car repairs whilst driving back to the UK, as usual it was a case of search for a nearby hotel on the internet and selected the Ibis for being local to where the car was being repaired, I can only say it was a really nice surprise, as well as the usual standards for an Ibis, rooms & shower are always clean, the hotel had a decent bar, restaurant and a decent swimming pool with sun loungers etc really couldn't fault the place, perfect for an overnight stop since its quite close to the motorway and if you're inclined ashort car journey into the city centre
