Steigenberger Hotel Dortmund

Decent place, but rather far from the city center (although there is not much to see anyway). The stay was fine, but really nothing special and certainly not what we expected when we booked a Steigenberger hotel. It felt outdated, stuffy, just quite basic. A good value for the money, but you may want to try the Pullman hotel across the street.

Sorry, but the service and amenities of the hotel are not in line with the Steigenberger name or a proper 4-star hotel. The rooms were basic, the beds were so-so comfortable, there were no amenities in the bathroom except a little bar of soap and a squeeze bottle of shower gel, there was no complimentary water, etc. Breakfast was copious and had a great variety, although the quality of the products were just OK. The service was fine, although spotty - I asked for a local hair salon because we were attending a wedding and she points me down the street, without giving me some actual suggestions with addresses and phone numbers. Anyway, the place is overall fine and the deals you find are often great - but again, Steigenberger should be more careful of managing their properties and brand.

Room comfortable. Room service food okay - not great. Great staff - good English, which is great because my German is minimal!

The impression was spoiled by rain. The center go far enough, but back to the hotel was nice.

Paid wifi is a scam, you pay 8 Euros and get the same low speed internet you would have using the free wifi option. Complaining about this won't get you a refund either - no way to do any skype calls for example.

excellent hotel and only a short walk to the football stadium,, very good facilities and friendly staff so we all had an excellent time and would go there again if im ever going back to dortmund .

Very good hotel, friendly staff and great location. Shame about a very poor internet connection for a high standard hotel.

Room on the smallish size. good hotel compared to others in the area. Staff friendly and helpful. Close to highway but not the city.

The staff was very helpful knowing English, rooms were clean, roomy enough and lighting in bathroom was amazing!
