Beautiful setting and my family have been going to Devon Valkey for over 50 years

We had to ask for a fire to be light in the beautiful bar/lounge area in the middle of May and were told that a fire can only be light subject to a certain no. Of guests. It was then only light! We had to leave the lounge area at about 9.30 pm as the bar was closed and sit in the diningroom to finish our special evening. This is not good hospitality.

Das jeweilige Abendessen war sehr lecker. Und die Weine der angrenzenden Güter vorzüglich.

Für eine Weingegend, versteht das Personal herzlich wenig von Wein.

Of guests. This is not acceptable when an overnight stay for 4 guests is still a significant amount of hard earned money. The fire was then light when I voiced my absolute displeasure. We had to vacate the beautiful warm bar after dinner, and before we were ready, and sit in the diningroom to finish our evening.

This time the accommodation was for my Mother. However we have stayed at this Hotel on several occasions. Always an excellent choice for the Stellenbosch area.
