Breakfast, took orders.

Being an old building, the floors creaked throughout the property. I could hear people walking around in the room above me all night, and every time someone passed along the corridor, the noise carried into the room. As a result, I didn’t get a peaceful night’s sleep. The bathroom was also quite inconvenient. There was no handheld shower attachment, only an overhead shower, which made it difficult to wash without getting my hair wet. The bath had separate hot and cold taps, which felt rather outdated. In addition, the window was covered with heavily frosted glass and couldn’t be opened. I found this quite claustrophobic, as there was no view outside and no way to let in fresh air.

We stayed in the same room second night the room was claimed the first night we had no water or any of the things for the tea coffee replaced I had breakfast I was bed and breakfast they tried to charge me on my final check out I am just an average 9 to 5 guy not on mega money the drinks at the bar were absolutely overpriced

Breakfast is odd..you can only have toast (within the continental breakfast menu) if you order a croissant. Otherwise no toast!! They also ration fruit juice to one glass ( you can pay for a second glass!)

Breakfast was included in the price but found out whilst ordering breakfast that this was only for continental breakfast and had to pay extra for cooked breakfast. Not made clear when booking. I left my phone charger and lead in the room by my bed but when I phoned up to ask whether house keeping had picked it up they said they “ couldn’t find it “ 🤔

Location

The included breakfast on booking does not make it clear that this is a continental breakfast only. When booking breakfast the standard expectation is that you will have the choice of continental or cooked. It feels that the hotel are money grabbing.

The location was perfect.

Room was clean but looked tired and tatty. Plaster missing around bathroom door. Hole in bottom of door. No information book in room

location, layout and openers of entrance and bar lounge area . the old panelling and fireplace in the bar .

The buffet breakfast was extremely poor to non existent . If it is purely table service which you pay for that should be clearly stated at booking . Really lets down the hotel
