Southbridge Napa Valley

This hotel was a random find for us, and we were very pleased! The staff was very welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the free breakfast brought to your room was a lovely touch! You choose from several options on a list the night before, specify what time you want it, and it is brought to your room. The location was perfect to walk to many tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops, but far enough away from it not to hear the noise. The spa next door has a pool and fitness center that guests can use for free. There is also a wonderful winery right next door.

The location of the Napa Spa on property is a huge perk as guest can enjoy the amenities there included in the room rental. The pool, hot tub, and facilities are wonderful.

Location perfect! Walk to restaurants, shops and wineries. Pool and Gym fabulous.

We love the location of Southbridge. We spend a lot of time in St. Helena, and end up using the Southbridge fitness facilities even when we are staying in other locations. This was our second time staying at the hotel. The staff are absolutely lovely and truly the best thing about this hotel! The front desk managers are welcoming and accommodating, and the housekeeping staff is helpful and super friendly. The ice and water machine on the room level is a welcome feature.

This is not a 5 star hotel and should not be marketed or priced as such. The rooms are tired and uncomfortable. The pillows hurt both my husband’s and my necks and made for 3 very rough nights’ sleep. The breakfast is a nice gesture. My husband tried it the first morning. The fruit was the best part about the presentation. We both decided to find breakfast and coffee outside the property thereafter. There is no restaurant or bar at the property, so outside of breakfast there is no option to eat or drink in. However the hotel is within walking distance to all that St. Helena has to offer, and we took advantage of not having to get in the car. This hotel is our backup option when other spots are booked, but never our first choice.

Loved the property! Amazing room and pool area.

My husband and I and another couple traveled to the Napa valley to have dinner at The French Laundry. We looked at several hotels all around the area but since this was not only a holiday weekend but also a large music festival weekend, there were not a ton of options. We selected Southbridge based on location, mostly, but I noticed it was almost double what I paid the last time I spent a weekend in Napa where I stayed downtown in a gorgeous hotel with a fireplace on the balcony, a poster bed, and a gigantic bathroom with a huge tub. Southbridge was clean, the staff was very nice and friendly, housekeeping was done promptly, and it was reasonably comfortable. That's the same thing I can say for a midlevel corporate hotel at a third of the price. The room was just tired and showed wear. The pocket door (which I hate for bathrooms) did not close all the way which afforded absolutely no privacy. The vanity was tiny and my husband and I had to store our bathroom items under the sink. Even the shampoo samples were tiny and barely enough for both of us to shower. There was a very small area with a Keurig type coffee maker and an old undercounter (not built in) fridge that ran loudly. There was some kind of hum from something in the ceiling the whole time and you should know the train honks at an early hour passing by. Overall, I was super unimpressed and sick about how much we spent for what was an utterly forgettable stay. I checked the other hotel on a non-holiday weekend against Southbridge and it is considerably less for a gorgeous room downtown. Cute location but consider all your options.

Amazing experience with Southbridge Napa! Absolutely loved the hotel room, the bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was updated with the nicest amenities, the winery and restaurant on the property are such an amazing touch, the breakfast delivered to our room every morning was such a treat, and every person was so kind and accommodating!

Great boutique hotel adjacent to a terrific fitness center and spa. Convenient to great restaurants and near the heart of St Helena.
