Hotel Boulevard

Confusing hotel layout. But once you figure it out it’s good. Friendly and flexible staff. The room isn’t special…no AC etc…very European (obviously) but was clean and comfortable while dated. For the money, I’d certainly stay there again.

Google says this hotel has a/c in every room. It doesn't. It doesn't have any a/c. It doesn't have any *ventilation* at all, so you have to keep the windows open all the time. This is a serious problem because (1) it's too hot in summer and cold in winter; (2) it's really noisy on the weekends until 2or 3am; (3) Stuttgart often has bad air quality. No ventilation just isn't acceptable in 2023. The hotel advertises "soundproof rooms" but there's no such thing as soundproof if you have to keep the windows open all the time. Expedia lists the breakfast buffet at 12.50/day. It was 20/day when I was there. The rooms are *bare.* No kettle or coffee maker. No iron. Squishy, bouncy mattress. Single, lumpy pillow. Uncomfortable desk chair. Tiny TV with limited channels. The whole place seems kind of old and beat up. When I arrived the wifi didn't work (misconfigured router) but they eventually moved me to a different room, where I was close to a different router that did work. There's no fitness room or lounge or any other amenities really. The staff were friendly and tried to help. They found a tiny, old desk fan with broken controls for me. But the condition of the whole place is just atrocious. Bottom line, this hotel is for people who want to stay up all night smoking and drinking. If you like clean air and getting a good night's sleep, stay elsewhere.

The staff were very friendly and efficient and the location is convenient in the main shopping area of the city. The rooms and bathrooms are clean but the property is otherwise dated with most carpets looking a bit tired. Many of the rooms have windows to a service courtyard where all the airconditioning units humm loudly so you cant sleep with an open window. The TV in my room had not been tuned so there were no channels you could watch and the bathroom sink was blocked. Both got fixed the next morning after i reported it so the staff react well to feedback and try to resolve it as quickly as they can. Still there were other little things like the pillows being quite lumpy and them running out of the drinks on their drinks menu both nights that makes the place feel a bit basic and unloved.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. A bit jaded in decor. Fantastic location. Right beside an underground station. Lots of good places to eat on the same street. Breakfast a bit basic but price better than other comparable hotels. Friday night was really noisy but Saturday no problems. Overall we loved staying here and would highly recommend it.

The hotel was right in the middle of the shopping precinct… so close to everything… brauhouse, restaurants, bars etc .. all in the same street or around the corner… everything catered for from high end jewellery to coffee shops side by side.. only downside is they tend to sit out in the plaza till late at night and it got a bit loud even with the window shut.. but only there for 2 days so all good. The staff were lovely, the room was a great size and the ensuite bathroom was great … definitely would recommend staying at the Novum

This hotel is right in the middle of all the Christmas Market action. The staff is very helpful and the hotel itself is very nice. We really enjoyed the hotel. One thing to note is you can not drive to the front of the hotel as it is in a pedestrian area.
