Pullman Basel Europe

Pullman Basel has an ‘eco-friendly’ room cooling system which really doesn’t work well when it’s hot outside. I stayed 2 nights in spring time. It really wasn’t particularly hot weather but the eco room cooling system could not cope. I asked reception and they gave me a fan, and advised to keep the window open. So, slept little due to stuffy room, and trams outside. I mentioned the room temperature on check out, and was told that they do it to protect the environment. Unless you are an eco-warrior, I would avoid this hotel at any time other than winter.

Gute Lage, gutes Frühstück

Ich hatte bereits vor dem check-in um ein leises Zimmer gebeten und eines direkt zur Straße auf der alle 5 Minuten eine Straßenbahn Fahrt erhalten. In Verbindung mit dem hohen Preis eine schlechte Leistung.

Ich war zu einem Kongress in der Messe Basel - das Hotel ist ideal für einen Messebesuch gelgen - und in die historische Altstadt sind maximal 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer gebucht - dieses war sehr sauber, ruhig (da Richtung Innenhof) und gut ausgestattet. Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Baselcard, mit der man alle Öffentl. Verkehrsmittel verwenden kann, ist prima und in die "Kurtaxe" inkludiert

Gewöhnen muss man sich an die generell sportliche Preisgestaltung in Basel - auch das Hotel war relativ teuer pro Nacht - allerdings in einem ähnlichen Preisbereich, wie die umliegenden Hotels
