Holiday Lodge

I would not stay here again. There was hair on the beds and stains and a cigarette burn on the sheets. Stay away from this place. The only good thing I will say is that the beds were extremely comfortable.

I live in Greensboro GA - I had family fly in from California to celebrate a birthday party. We suggested this hotel to our family. NEVER again - horrible... It's not that Greensboro GA has many choices for hotels. You either pay the Ritz pricing at 300+ a night, or Holiday Lodge or Jamison.... go to Jamison if you're traveling on a budget. If you don't mind spending the money, go to the Ritz Lodge... nice place, tons to do on the water.

The Pits! Tried to cancel by phone, but Ralph said "no, use the website you used to make the reservation to cancel it". (Ralph, tough to do while driving. Thanks for making life so easy for travelers).

I did not stay here, my husband did and he does not get on computers much. So he wanted me to write this review per him, so he could warn other travelers. He said when he arrived it looked nice from the outside. He had to pay a lot since he was going to the Masters and needed a place to stay and nothing was available closer, so he chose this place. He said it was dark and smelled with no elevator so he had to lug his suitcase up the stairs to his room. He had booked a room with a queen bed, he said it was more like a twin then a queen and the room was very tired and furniture and fixtures were old and dated. He wore his shoes the whole time since it looked like the carpet had never been vacuumed or cleaned. The clock didn't work and neither did the bathroom lights so called the front deck to request another clock and maintenance for the lighting problem. The the clerk said he could do nothing for him on either problem. He said when he took a shower he only had hot water for about 5 min total then it never came back on. When he looked for the ice machine the clerk said to come to the front desk and he would give him some ice. Another gentleman that my husband spoke to while there laughed with my husband told him about the lights and shower. He said "at least you had a shower, mine was broken" . He was supposed to stay 2 nights but canceled and checked out, said he would rather sleep in the car then stay at this dump another night. As for the reviews that said it was renovated that's a lie. Everything was old, looks can be deceiving from the outside so beware. What their website says it a lie. Don't stay here, it a nasty dump, per my husbands words. The reviews that are good are probably friends of the owners or something like that to make their rating go up.

It's not fancy - but it's ok. The front desk clerk could not have been nicer. We are on bikes and can see them from our room. The internet works great and the linens and bathroom are clean. For the price - its ok.

This place is a mess. The young lady at the desk could not get the room key to work so she let us in and brought the key to us later. The shower was dirty and the curtains had mold on them. The motel smelled of something terrible , I was told it was curry. The internet was no where near hi-speed I was cut off constantly. Dirty nasty mattresses were stacked in the corner of the stairwell along with some refrigerators. And do not look under the bed!!!

This is one nasty place! Avoid this hotel like it was the plague! The inside looks like a crack house and smells like hot death! Mold all over the shower curtain. Advertised they had hair dryers in the room, flat screen TVs and HBO…they had none of those. Every tile in the bath room was cracked. Rust all over the bath tub. Oh and did I mention the smell? I hope you love the smell of curry!!!!
