Wonderful location so close to beach, cafes and mall. We have been staying at this Rydges for family occasions over 20 years and has always been a favourite.

Service from staff this time had definitely fallen off. Reception staff were cordial but seemed stressed a lot of the time despite not being that busy and there was not the previous level of service. The breakfast buffet was disappointing after being a favourite aspect in previous visits. There was no obvious FOH person to greet guests and staff were very lackadaisical and more interested in chatting to each other than attending to guests or refilling coffee urns or buffet drinks/ cutlery etc. It felt like many staff were untrained casuals lacking supervision or any form of consistent service. Buffet was loudly cleared away 15 minutes before closing time and staff were verging on rude.
