Quality Inn & Suites Northampton - Amherst

We spent one night at The Quality Inn and were impressed with the updates and the cleanliness of the room. All the upgrades gave it a fresh, contemporary feel, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This hotel offered great comfort and service at a reasonable price. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast offered various options.

The staff was courteous and professional. The room was neat, tidy, and comfortable.

We were on the 3rd floor, and the elevator was broken over our entire week-long stay. No one mentioned it, referred to it, or offered to accommodate it. I had to carry our luggage up and down 3 flights myself without help. When I later asked about a repair ETA, I got only a shrug and a chuckle, as if there is no plan to have the elevator repaired at all and the elevator was forgotten. Despite that, my stay was not a bad experience overall.

Room had odd smell. Pillow cases smelled of smoke.

It appears that they are short staffed and under construction

It serves my purpose for the frequent visits I need to make to the Northampton area.

Comfy beds. Free tea, coffee and juice. Pleasant staff.

Over priced, mold in bathroom, water faucet very loose, bathroom fan made a lot of noise like bad bearings. TV didn’t work. Fridge freezer dirty. Breakfast wasn’t all that special. They put an extra $1 on our card in case we took soap. Didn’t really understand that one. This in no way should have been a $300+ room. Even if everything worked it was your run of the mill hotel.

It was good

When I checked in the staff was wonderful. But it went down hill from there. The room had an overwhelming smell of fragrant cleaning products. And there was a fly in room. I needed to sleep and did not want a fly flying around my face. I asked the front desk if there was another room. They switched me to a difffent room. The second room also had a overwhelming cleaning product smell and another FLY! But more problematic was the WiFi was intermittant. SO I asked if I could switch to another room. The third room did not smell nor was there a fly but the bolt lock on the door did not engage. I went back to the 1st room. got a flyswatter and slept.
