Potomac River Motel

They were closed!!! I should have been notified!!

Old-style motel - family run. Clean and comfortable but very small room. A bit over-priced. The TV wasn't working but they fixed it right away.

Broken window in the bathroom (someone had stuffed a handtowel in the missing glass hole) was not fun with overnight temperatures of 29. Musty odor in the room. The blinds in the front window were missing the angle adjustment strings. The carpet is in dire need of replacement. The buildings are old and show their age. It is in dire need of remodeling. Front desk staff were pleasant and accomodating.

The hotel was in poor shape and the tenants four doors down from me were smoking pot and the smell was over whelming. Sunday no one was in the office, there were holes in the bathroom ceiling and stained bed covers, the place was dated and dirty. Never again

Probably the BEST budget motel I have ever stayed. Very nice!

I have an interest in old motels. This one was clean and had everything needed, especially a nice shower and a comfortable bed. Nothing was new or fancy, which is fine with me. Microwave and refrigerator worked fine. Heater was a bit noisy but worked perfectly. I was very happy to spend a night at Hancock Motel.

Very conveniently located for bike rides and close to Berkeley Springs baths, beautiful rooms with every comfort; nice decor outside (colorful old bikes on porch); quiet

An older place, it was as clean as it could be but everything is outdated.. hard old mattress, worn out sheets and carpet. I'll spend a little more money next time and stay elsewhere

The motel is an old motel with window unit air-conditioning/heating. The place was clean and the staff responsive when we noticed the microwave wasn't work, they brought in a different microwave. No breakfast. Few restaurants open in town (Mondays/Tuesdays). Wi-Fi worked the first day but was intermittent the second day. Not many places to stay over in town, so this will do as a place to sleep. Could use more power strips or a nice charging station. Tea in the room would be nice, (they had a hot water pot and coffee) and a few packaged goods for breakfast would help - A complementary tasty cake would make it feel more like the management cares. I got the feeling they are using COVID to just cut back on services.

Well worth the price. Room was clean. Had a big TV, nice fridge, microwave. Shower was hot, beds were very comfortable. The owner/manager (I assume she was the manager) was very accommodating with my motorcycle trailer. The location is close to a lot of good riding, both paved and unpaved. There are plenty of places to eat and/or get groceries minutes away. If I could give it 4 1/2 stars, I would deduct a half star because of the poor wifi. I was able to manage, but if I had needed it for something important, I would have been SOL.
