The bed was comfy, the air con was great and the room is lovely and clean. The staff were friendly.

The message they send before you check in, tells you the wrong location to meet the airport shuttle. The airport shuttle is also not the one with Mercure hotel on the side of it (of course not, silly me). There’s a kettle in the room, tea and sugar, but no milk or mugs (maybe the plastic cups are heat proof) and they did give me milk when I asked (so can’t really whinge about that one). When I asked for a mug they couldn’t bring it to my room since they didn’t have enough staff. This would normally be fine, but I was finally in my pjs after 13 hours of travelling and being messed around with the shuttle so I didn’t want to go down to reception like that. The pillows are a weird square shape so you have to choose between bending them and having your feet hanging off the bed (I’m not that tall). It was fine overall, just not what I expected from a chain like Mercure, would’ve just gone with one half the price if I’d known it’d be like this.
