ibis Alencon

Overnight stop en route for south west France and the Ibis is an excellent place to stay - clean and comfortable and very quiet. Must have good sound proofing as there is very little noise from other guests. Would recommend the Ibis also because it is close to several restaurants and the centre of Alencon

We like staying at the Ibis, Alencon because it is centrally located and we can walk around the town to find a good restaurant. Our room has always been of a very high standard with a very comfortable bed.

Conveniently situated for visit on foot into town. Metered parking in street only - but manageable. Situated at reasonable distance from ports for cross channel ferries to UK. Interesting town and Cathedral.

Ibis hotels are usually reliable when it comes to good beds and cleanliness.breakfast could be more imaginative. Fruit compotes and freshly boiled eggs might be nice. Staff are very helpful on the whole wherever we stay at an Ibis.

A good Ibis Hotel . We didn't have to rush off the next day and the Breakfast ( petit ) was good and still on after ten . The street parking was fine outside the front of the hotel and was reasonably priced during the designated times .

Of course, with an Ibis hotel, you get what you pay for in terms of facilities - a fairly spartan room (though with a comfortable and extra-long bed) and few facilities, though a relatively cosy bar was welcome on a winter's night. Where this hotel scored over many more expensive hotels was the quality of the staff. Both receptionists that we spoke with could not have been more helpful, ringing around local restaurants on New Year's Day to try and find one that was open and, generally, making us feel particularly welcome. By virtue of its location and the welcome from the staff we will make a future stopover on our way back home from the south-west.

Good places with friendly people, located a few block from Alencon downtown. Good breakfast.

Very nice location in attractive provincial French town. Parking right in front of hotel. Moderate parking charge daytime. Usual good IBIS standard.

It's an Ibis, so you don't expect huge rooms or the very lap of luxury, but we got a very well presented, large enough room with a very comfortable bed. Looks like it has been recently refurbished as everything looked new. Free parking on the square outside overnight and on Sundays.

We liked it so much we came back.
