Low floor room very noisy until 1pm from external revellers. Also was given disabled room and deaf fire alarm light was very bright

Interesting to read other reviewers of recent times. The previous two reviews were critical. I suspect that the new staff are not trained. I have been to this hotel numerous times over the past decade. The checkout was long and tedious. .

We've stayed here many times and always had a great time. Things started to go pear shaped when there was a problem with our booking. We paid in advance but there was a problem with the middle section of the stay. We had to rebook - and change rooms. When we checked out, it took over 20 minutes to forensically analyse all the transactions - we paid happily but won't be back. After 20 stays over ten years, one would have thought the check out could have been quick and smooth - the clerk was rather difficult to deal with; unable to answer reasonable questions; the manager was rather curt If this is the service (sic) one gets after all these years of being a good customer and one wonders why the hospitality industry is in a bind.
