Ambasciatori Hotel Venice Mestre, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Great location. Number 15 airport bus stops right outside hotel every 30 min and the 4L to Central Mestre and Venice every 10 min. We arrived at 10am. Reception staff were lovely. They stored our luggage and despite check in being 3pm they suggested we return about 1pm. At that point they gave us entry to our room which had been upgraded to a beautiful large suite. The suite was absolutely spotless and thoroughly cleaned every day. Toiletries etc are good and bedding and towels excellent. Ample supply of tea and coffee. Reception staff remained helpful throughout. Excellent English and good local knowledge. My only criticism was the hotel dinner offering. Nearly all menu items were heated from frozen, overpriced and very poor quality. That said, it is perhaps too early in the season for them to put on a full service. By contrast, the continental breakfast was excellent particularly the pastries and fresh fruit. There are many trattoria and bistro close by so its not an issue.
