The panorama is beautiful in two directions! You can see the ocean and the whole city with the mountains as well. So if the view is important for you, top choice!

The apartment is fine, its main disadvantage is the location. It is NOT recommended for elder people or for those who cannot or do not want to walk a lot. It is in a very steep, narrow street with no parking place. (Parking places are for residents only, so if you rent a car, you will need to park somewhere else and walk a lot.) The street is still very busy with a lot of cars going down on it, so walking is also challenging in the street. And of course, you will be very sweaty once you reach the apartment from the downtown, because it is very steep.

Lounge area and kitchen

Lack of maintenance of property as a whole. The open drain and awful smell in kitchen and living area on arrival - there is clearly a drain maintenance problem which needs addressing not currently suitable for letting. The bad smell in bathroom - damp problem which needs addressing. The noise and workmen from ongoing building work opposite which impacted on our privacy and peace inside and on terrace - we were not informed or made aware of this The uneven floor in guest bedroom needs attention it is in very poor condition Bad steep access is not mentioned. Overflowing bin outside property on our arrival - had to ask gor it to be emptied.

It was close to everything. Very comfortable couch, amazing views

We had a lovely time in and around Funchal. We visited beautiful places and admired the nature of the entire island.

We stayed for a week and from the first day it smelled musty in the hallway in the bathroom and in the closets in the room.

Very dirty and with fungus. The furnuture, towels, bed sheets and covers have stains. Fungus on bathroom walls. Using ventilation is not helping much, if you close the windows for few hours bathroom/living room area starts stinking of fungus. No shampoo. Wifi in the bedroom is very poor. Unpleasent entry leading to the apartment.
