Quality Inn South Bend near Notre Dame

The bed and pillows was pretty comfortable, and the mini fridge was bigger then most hotels

The amenities were a ripoff. The "minimart" was a single mini fridge behind the front desk, and a vending machine down the hall. The computer center was a single computer in the lobby. The coffee was so watered down we may as well have just been drinking dyed water. There's no elevator so if your disabled this is not the place for you. There was a large group of men in the lobby at night who made my wife feel uncomfortable when she went to get coffee. The hand rail in our shower was held on by a single rusty nail, there was hardly any space in the room because the bed took up most of it. The first room they assigned us was filthy, so I asked for a room change, and it was better, but there were still small holes in the sheets and the room was not cleaned as much as it should have been. The curtains were dirty, the top of the headboard was coated in so much dust, handprints on the headboard.

Room was non-refundable after booking and paying, and they charged me a 50 dollar cash deposit in case I smoked in the room, which wasn't in the booking information. I didn't smoke but my girl started her period and they kept 30 of 50 dollar deposit...
