Port of the Islands Everglades Adventure Resort

Really nice , quite and very kind staff

The only reason to stay here is if your car broke down right in front. Their restaurant and bar are closed. The next food option is 10 miles away. The rooms are old and tired.

All the staff we encounter provided exceptional customer service. The property was very clean. The room was extremely spaces. The bed was comfortable and just the whole environment and vibe. There was amazing. My husband and I will definitely be returning.

The hotel is in a poor state and not like the photos online which must be years old.

Not a horrible place to stay right next to the marina i had an ant problem and to me it was a bit outdated but if your looking for something cheap to just sleep at night it works

Nice, quiet location with comfortable beds. Good stop if visiting the Everglades. Recommend Marina's Grill in Everglades City for dinner

Large but extremely spacely furnished room. Quite old, mostly clean (especially the bathroom) but bedding was old and thin and the pillows stained. Location was just outside the main areas. It was great being located right in the heart of the everglades but it meant driving everywhere for everything. The property had a lovely marina but it was mostly private and we had to travel into Marco Island or further to get info on any type of water activity. The property did claim to have a restaurant but we didn't try it. The property was in urgent need of a refurb or good clean, dimly lit and reminded me of a hostel. It wasn't appealing to try. Check in was seamless but reception staff weren't able to give any info on the surrounding area.

Not a resort by far. Staff not friendly smoking in areas where there should be no smoking. Signs are posted but not unforced. Had a room that overlooks the marina however huge truck right in front of my patio blocking the view of the marina(tow away sign right in front of my patio/porch) totally ignored Front Taft said “they” not to park there but people do it all the time. Mice feces on my screened in patio porch. No house keeping…. Not sure if section 8 resides there all year but seemed like it. Apparently disgruntled employee went on a shooting rampage. My heart goes out to the staff and those families that were affected to understanding a new owner had taken over. I really hope that the new owner could put together the staff and bring this resort back to what it should be. Really a shame not what was expecting since listed as a “resort” A Super 8 or Comfort Inn at best (but on a low scale) they did offer breakfast, which was just horrendous. Very nice ship store and boating education center at the marina. The area and locals fishing docks were very very nice local DEC we’re doing their jobs!

The setting of Port of Everglades Adventure Resort is beautiful, including a huge pool with lounge chairs and the marina just outside our door! It was an extra surprise to have a light breakfast included. We did have an issue with our room but it was quickly resolved. We would not hesitate to stay again when in the area.
