Extra tax for the day we checked out- having already paid for the day we arrived I think that’s a bit ridiculous given we were checking out!

Superb hotel, excellent location, wonderful and very helpful staff who made us feel very welcome and looked after us really well.

Lovely building, nice reception and relaxing lounges, bed room very nice , staff and service was very good, great location too.

Breakfast wasn’t as good as some we have stayed at before in Beaune, less choice, too much cake but that probably because us British don’t eat cake for breakfast !!

This is a very expensive hotel. It did not get close to its 5 star rating and we could not see why it is an SLH. Our room was relatively large but very tired. It was not chic. The fittings and furniture were damaged and dirty and looked cheap. It was not possible to have a bath as the flow of water into the bath was so slow and the leaking from the plug ensured that the bath did not fill. I mentioned this to the staff on departure and was offered 1 day’s parking free despite us staying 2 days. The breakfast buffet was fine. Essentially a standard cold buffet with the offer of cooked eggs. But no wider offering of cooked food. Staff were friendly and location good.

Location of the hotel was perfect, as everything was within walking distance. The breakfast in the courtyard was lovely. All the staff were attentive and genuinely friendly. One small area of improvement is that both showers in our bathrooms did not rest in their holder and so we had to hold the shower in one hand and wash hair with the other. Small issue overall. It’s not a luxury 5 star if that’s what you are after as it’s an old quirky building. Beautiful nonetheless.

Turn down service dissapointing Towels replaced Bed covers etc left is with no attention It was the same outcome each night … the staff need to be told or trained or is this the normal approach now not to remake and tidy the appearance of gve bed ? This is why I rated very good not excellent because I have very high expectations of Le Cep after 20 years Massage in the spa and the service there was fantastic … the manager is very efficient . She is very competent.
