Best Western Plus Truckee-Tahoe Hotel

Location, pool and sauna, breakfast was good

Accidentally put change in a machine that was out of order and was not able to get my change back. Tried to get more change to do laundry and they were out of quarters.

wifi SUCKED! toilet was running the entire time. TV reception was jntermittent. needs bike storage.

Really overpriced for an average hotel. They charge an additional $15 per night for parking and it's in the middle of nowhere, a long way from central Truckee. I forgot my toiletries and there's a big sign saying that they have complimentary toiletries at the front desk. First of all, there was no one at the front desk. I came back an hour later and the guy managed to find a single disposable toothbrush and sachet of toothpaste after calling his manager. I also had the opportunity to buy a razor. I have never forgotten my toiletries before and don't necessarily expect the hotel to cover for me but why put a sign up advertising complimentary toiletries for idiots like me if you don't intend to honor it? He seemed like a nice guy but the whole operation has seen better times. Just a weird vibe. You could do far better for $175.
